Shell Tower is currently undergoing a five year refurbishment and GKR Scaffolding has been appointed as the main scaffold contractor on-site.  GKR are providing all the external scaffold for the removal of internal asbestos supported with hoist access.  The building is to remain live throughout the duration of the project which means that the site is in progress 24 hours with rotated day and night shift operatives working on 3 storeys at any one time.

The main contractors on-site are Silverdell, AMEC, ISG Interior Exterior and MACE.

As well as providing the scaffold and access on-site GKR Scaffolding are also advising ISG InteriorExterior on all Health and Safely options for the protection of the general public and those still working in the building.
