A 65 week project with a value of £560k to GKR Scaffolding, using a HAKI modular system throughout. The choice of modular as opposed to conventional scaffold was made based on the number of adaptations that need to be carried out continuously across a number of elevations throughout the lifetime of the project. The key feature of the HAKI modular systems is the speed in which the ‘hop-up' brackets can be moved - essential in this particular project - the speed of which saves time for the scaffolders and therefore increases productivity on-site. The way in which the modular system is constructed has also meant that there has not been the requirement for a separate screen for the outer monoflex sheeting - again allowing for cost savings to be undertaken. Commenting on the project Director Lee Rowswell says: "We are using HAKI modular scaffolding more and more as complete solutions to projects where time is of the essence. It's easy to work with, the men like it and the cost savings because of speed really does make a difference and ensures we are able to help our clients achieve their programme times."
