The main works at Elmsleigh Shopping Centre is now complete after 52 weeks on site, with all access scaffold being dismantled by the end of August 2004. The new 750 HAKI roof system with tracks and wheels has proven to be essential for the project to remain on programme and the Shopping Centre to remain open throughout the works. The Client Kier Southern congratulated GKR Scaffolding in their approach to safety and commitment on-site and for all the training that had been given throughout the project on the 750 Rolling HAKI system. Kier Southern also commented on how they are looking forward to both companies working together on similar projects in the future. GKR Scaffolding are only one of a few Scaffolding companies in the South East and London area to use this roof system, with 18 roofs erected at Elmsleigh GKR are now leading the market in HAKI roofing. As the £800,000 project neared completion there were 20 scaffolders working 24 hours a day and the entire Shopping Mall had a 10kn scaffold deck erected using all new scaffold material.
