GKR Scaffolding was awarded the Brunswick Shopping Centre in April 2005. The project was awarded to GKR due to the success of the Wandsworth Shopping Centre, in which GKR worked closely with ISG and Project Manager Tim Whittaker. The scaffold works included a major stone clean and restoration scaffold package in which 750 aluminium beams were used to bridge over the glazed winter gardens. The majority of the works include 4,000m of internal bricklayers hop up scaffolds, major HAKI roof enclosures, scaffold gantry's and crashdecks, the works were expected to last for 58 Weeks and the contract value to GKR is £1,600,000. This will be the largest scaffold project at order stage GKR has carried out.
